SRASS Mk 19 Radio Sonobuoy
Description
The Mk 19 Short-Range Radio Anti-Submarine Sonar-buoy System, designed for use with the [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3602831456] Type 9 ADC-20 Depth Charge [/url] and the [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3602716498] Hammond PTD-90 Typhoon Heavy Fighter[/url].
Function
The SRASS Mk 19 is a passive and active sonobuoy system that transmits sonar data on a desired radio frequency to nearby receiving aircraft. Receiving aircraft should be no more than about 2 Km from the sonobuoy to receive data. Two SRASS Mk 19 sonobuoys will interfere with each other when deployed in close proximity. Buoys have limited battery power and only last about 10 minutes after launch.
