Genie Vanilla race rework ][ xenotype redalgamor
Overview
I asked myself a lot, why Genie xenotype has to be not inheritable? Probably because their creators didn't want them to be able to start anything on their own. Otherwise, Genie empire would just outperform anybody. So I guess they would have to stay non-inheritable.
While working on all other xenotypes, I struggled to keep metabolism not too high. In this case, I struggled to keep it not too low. So many bad genes suit them... I managed to balance it on 80%, which is exactly how it's supposed to be.
Now, what did I
remove from the original
[b] Poor plants [/b] - If you checked out my other reworks, you know that I love removing this gene... In this case I don't have a proper explanation, I just had to balance metabolism.
That's it.
What have I
added to this xenotype:
[b] Weak immunity [/b] - It's supposed to be weak. They are made to work in labs, factories and spaceships.
They are definitely used to sterile environments, they are made to be reliant on them...
[b] Super psy-sensitive [/b] - Who else if not them? They are supposed to be psy-casters and mechanitors on the rim.
[b] Very Happy [/b] - So they could be easier controlled by their creators. Lesser expectations in other words.
[b] Weak melee damage [/b] - Weak muscles.
[b] Sleepy [/b] - Their body and brain needs more time to recover. (Wanted to make them Very sleepy, but metabolism...)
[b] Low libido [/b] - Less distractions from work. (sterile also suits them but mtblsm.)
[b] Quick study [/b] - No comments.
[b] Indoor dweller [/b] - "sterile environments, they are made to be reliant on them..."
[b] Poor melee [/b] - It's definitely supposed to be harder for them to learn then shooting.
[b] Awful mining [/b] - Surprised it wasn't there? I am.
[b] poor artistic [/b] - Their minds are likely hyper-rational, less about emotional or aesthetic expression.
[b] Wake-up dependancy [/b] - Why not work overtime? That's exactly what their creators would want. Also addiction would keep them on a short leash...
Works with everything except anything that overwrites Genie def.
[b]V2.0[/b] This mod is a PATCH now so it's compatible with everything. Error-wise.

Your opinions are very welcome. But keep in mind metabolism balance.
