The Will Scott was built in NY for the Ohio transports line in 1954 as the sister ship to the Alantic 3. She was named after a friend of the CEO of ohio Co. She was made to transport iron and steel around the world and she did that well. In 1956 she was rammed by a small fishing boat, causing the small boat to sink quickly. After 10 years of service on the steel transport she was moved to carry wood from Alaska to the east coast. On the 16th of may in 1965 a large storm came over the gulf of mexico, the ship was battered by waved reaching 30 ft high. Within an hour she was taking on to much water, her crew was forced to abandon ship when they reached the end of the storm, she was towed to a near by port and sold to a scrapping yard, she was finished being scrapped 2 months later.
