Yak-15 Jet Fighter

The Yakovlev Yak-15 was one of the first Soviet jet fighters, entering limited service just after World War II. It was essentially a jet‑powered conversion of the piston‑engined Yak‑3 airframe, which made it cheap and fast to produce. The Yak‑15 used a single RD‑10 turbojet mounted under the nose and had very simple, lightweight construction.
