The Malov is a coastal corvette designed for direct-action missions.
Optimized for high-speed strike operations, she is capable of engaging all surface-ship classes except submarines. Powered by a robust main engine and three propellers, the Malov reaches speeds of approximately 54 knots (around 100 km/h).
She is equipped with an automatic flare and chaff countermeasure system that provides autonomous defense against incoming radar-guided missiles. In addition, the vessel carries surface-search radars, as well as active and passive sonar suites for situational awareness and target detection.
Despite her relatively compact dimensions, the Malov features a medical bay with two intensive-care berths, as well as a crew compartment outfitted with four bunks and standard naval equipment.
Because the Malov also operates in search-and-rescue (SAR) roles, she is fitted with forward-mounted water monitors (firefighting cannons) and blue emergency beacons to support rescue operations.
