[b]Restraints: Handcuffs[/b] is an add-on for the Restraints mod by Bdew that changes the restrain requirement from steel to a new item: handcuffs!
It also adds logic so that the arrester will attempt to use handcuffs in their inventory first before searching the map for a pair of cuffs with options for having your pawns carry handcuffs.
Why?
Aesthetic and roleplay reasons mostly. I always thought it was weird that the Restraints mod just used steel and didn't fit the roleplay for a lot of my playthroughs. So, I finally decided to try to do something about it and practice a new form of modding I hadn't before.

FAQ
[b]Q. How do I obtain handcuffs?[/b]
A. Handcuffs can be made at a [b]Crafting Spot[/b] for 2 steel. I kept the cost low due to an issue you can read about below.
[b]Q. When I unrestrain a pawn, I don't get my handcuffs back![/b]
A. This is a current limitation. Handcuffs do not get returned and I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to fix that - but I lack the knowledge to do so. It is still something I plan on working on for a future update. So, I've kept the cost low since you will lose them often.
[b]Q. How do I make my pawns carry handcuffs around?[/b]
A. There are multiple ways you can do this:

[*] Included in the mod is a patch that allows you to assign pawns to carry handcuffs around like you can assign them to carry medicine around. You cannot carry both medicine and handcuffs with this method.
[*] Utilize the 'pick up' mechanic of Rimworld and manually instruct pawns to pick up handcuffs as needed.
[*] Use some mod that allows for inventory management (CE loadouts for example). As long as the handcuffs are put into the pawn's inventory, they'll be used.

[b]Q. The handcuffs art is not very good.[/b]
A. I know! I suck at art.
NOTE
For the initial release, I made no changes to the Hediff applied when a pawn is restrained. This means that restrained pawns [b]cannot move[/b].
If you think I should investigate changing the Hediff to simply reduce or prevent manipulation (usage of hands), let me know in the comments. And be sure to let me know if you think it should be entirely prevented, or just drastically reduced.
