This mod simply sets the maximum fish population for space maps to 1000 and adds a set of fishtypes from the grassland biome. Rare catches should be disabled if I understand the code correctly. This isn't very useful in vanilla, but with mods or dev-mode you can make space lakes and that's when this is useful.
