BAD NEWS It's gonna be CE only. Also it'll be another while before everything is done and perfectly balanced and ready to publish. (Textures are all done, sounds are half-done, balancing and lore is pretty much down the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and needs the most work.) Also I have no idea how I'm going to translate the chopper into CE, so its probably not coming back. Talk to ye later - noote ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No, it isn't a typo. This mod adds in a new enemy faction, known as the Militar to the rimworld's locals. They are a newly-arrived, industrial military force with unknown business on the planet. They stand equipped with the fast-firing weaponry, and kinetics-absorbing armour from their distant homeworld of Coel. The mod currently adds: - One new natural-enemy faction. - 17 new weapons, of which most are guns. - 17 apparel pieces (2 armour pieces, 6 clothes, 6 helmets, 1 hat, 2 eyewear things) - A plethora of raid groups, with varying weapon selections. - Some Ideology stuff, which is just cosmetic text for now. - A few traits. Will add more in future updates. [img]https://i.imgur.com/mWCLXkU.png[/img] Coel The distant homeworld of the Militar. A large newly-spacer world emerged from a long-long-forgotten colony ship. Due to their heavily isolated nature, they are completely unfamiliar with the antics of the greater galaxy, and are typically hostile to foreign spacefarers. The Militar The Militar, also known as the Coelan Armed Forces, are the culmination of planetary mass-drafts on Coel. They are a somewhat competent power that was sent to the rimworld under the impression that the world would be the staging grounds for a greater military operation. Their last transport ship left just weeks before your colonists landed. At about the same time, their orbiting flagship had ceased all communications with Coelan ground forces. [img]https://i.imgur.com/ZeQBkhq.png[/img] Strength Roughly above everyone else, but below the Empire in terms of raid strength. I think. Gimmicky Balancing This faction is designed to be Enemy first and Player second. Almost all armours and weapons in this mod were balanced with NPC usage in mind. Besides that, the Militar is a very gun-heavy faction, they shoot more and faster than the average pawn and they almost never carry melee weapons. Their armour is much worse than vanilla's, however. Raid groups were the biggest focus of this mod, and they're all designed to be incredibly varied. Sometimes you'll get a raid with the usual infantrymen and maybe a gunner or two, other times, you'll get SMG-rushed, or witness the might of twenty-something rocket launchers. Fighting Tips! - Don't play tribal. Don't melee rush a group of Militar head-on, unless you have a lot of armoured pawns. - Common Militar troops don't have a good solution against armour. - Try to seperate the raid group as much as you can, and avoid open areas with scattered cover. I might re-add the royalty stuff as a patch in a future update, but there's no plans for anything yet. There's some Ideology stuff in the mod too, but that's completely cosmetic, text-based stuff. If you don't have ideology, the worst it'll do is put out some harmless errors on startup. Other than that, there are no errors to note.
