FAQ

Why won't it go?
To start the truck, turn the ignition key, set the handbrake to 1 (by pressing the '4' key), and then press the up arrow to shift into first gear. If it won't start after that, then something is wrong with the engine.

Where do I put my cargo?
By default, the truck doesn't have a cargo bed, in order to allow customisation. To get a cargo bed, click here.

The MH-9500, produced by the General Motors company, is an icon of American trucking. Dating to the late 60's, this classic can certainly handle it's fair share of cargo, powered by a variety of engines, including the Detroit 71 series, notable for also powering the M109 self-propelled howitzer. If it can power a tank, it can certainly power a truck.

OFFROADING:

All Wheel Drive
Just in case four wheels aren't enough, the 9500 is able to simultaneously connect all six of it's wheels to the drive train, providing extra traction and torque. This is engageable via a switch in the cabin.
Locking Differential
The MH 9500 comes equipped with a fully functional locking differential. This means that the wheels on the inside of a turn are slowed in order to help the truck to turn faster. Whilst this is preferable on the road, it can lead to problems while offroading, particularly if the only wheels in contact with the ground are the ones on the inside of a turn, as they will not be given any power. The differential can be locked via a switch in the cabin, completely disabling this system.
Winches
Outfitted with a suite of autonomous winches and rope anchors, if all else fails, the 9500 is able to heave itself out of almost any situation and from almost any direction. Be wary though, it only comes with one rope! In real life this would be a lot more useful as you could attach the winch to trees or rocks, but in stormworks, this is not possible :(
Snorkel
The MH 9500 is pre-installed with a snorkel for all of your wading needs. The cabin is not waterproof, however so take it diving at your own peril. If you find yourself with a drowned engine despite the raised air intake, there is surprisingly still hope for you. If you swim under the truck cabin, you will find a valve just next to the fuel tanks either side of the engine. Opening this will release an emergency reserve of air into the engine, supercharging it and giving you a moment to try and escape your watery fate. Be careful though, you only get two shots, and there's no way to re-pressurise the tanks, so make good use of it.

Compatibility
The MH 9500 is made to be compatible with all stock semi trailers and to be able to carry stock shipping containers, so should be completely viable as a career vehicle. (Although, i've never actually played career with DLC so i'm just assuming that this will be enough.)
Customisation
The 9500 is compatible with all Genesis Trucks frame addons, trailers and semi-trailers thanks to it's standard chassis. This opens up a world of possibilities for your truck, whether it be transporting different types of cargo, such as liquids, minerals or logs, or even utility such as turning your truck into a mobile crane, or emergency service vehicle. These can be found below:

Whoops! I haven't made the trailers or semi-trailers yet. I'll add them here when I do.

Do you think the snowrunner addiction is getting to the point where it's become just a tad unhealthy?
