[b]A Brave New Frontier[/b] is faction, apparel, and weapon mod built on bridging the gap between Industrial and Spacer. It adds 2 factions, 1 Scenario, dozens of pieces of apparel which include clothing, headwear, armor, and accessories, and unique weapons of which are built to be integrated into the world and to follow tropes that exist within Rimworld itself.
The key to this mod is the introduction of the [b]Colonial Expeditions[/b], factions made up of people arriving to the Rimworlds, not because they crashed here but because they are here to settle. Like a lot of people, Rimworld is not about escape to me, it is about growth and survival against all odds or at least until the TPS drops too far. The suite of items allows this new idea to survive even in the most barren worlds.
This mod was greatly inspired by [b]Shazbot’s Frontier Uniforms[/b], of which was my first mod that I made and released as a forked version. This mod has grown from just armor and uniforms into a full system which features more armor, more weapons, and more features. My goal is to have more systems and maybe even some cooler ideas for how you interact with the factions and world as a member of the colonial expedition. That is an issue for the future though.

Currently the plan is this,
First, running down bugs, broken localization, deprecation of older code in favor of newer code. This also includes texture fixes for everything.
Second, the addition of DLC based items which extend the scope of this mod into the DLC. As of now, right now it is Royalty compliant and not much else but as seen above, I have plans for full Royalty items. Another is Odyssey compliance which considering the scope of this mod makes sense for it to be compliant. The following is the goal.
Royalty: Psycher Kit (Testing) designed for usage by Psycasters in the colony.
Biotech: Solomon Kit (Concept Phase) designed for usage by Mechinators in the colony
Anomaly: Voidstalker Kit (Concept Phase)
Third, the addition of new weapons, apparel, and game features of which can help improve the mod in way or to fill in gaps that may exist. Though this is the least thought through portion of the mod, it exists within an area of which I find myself focusing on the colony as a whole rather than military aspects. So more materials relating to civilians might come in the future relating to other roles such as cooking, farming, etc.

[b]Q: Why do you keep changing the layout of the workshop page?[/b]
[b]A:[/b] I like rearranging furniture all the time, this is not different, but I like to think it is because as time goes on, I can make things look better as my skills increase. But mostly I get restless and just like changing things and as things get added I want to have the image of the mod reflects me narrowing down what BNF is going to end up as. Even though this mod is more or less my Rimworld sketchpad.
