Meta's Genelines - Vampires

This is the first installment of a series of xenotypes, adding content I find interesting to the game. Today, vampires! This mod adds three xenotypes to the game: the Carmilla, Tepes, and (with Anomaly) Orlok. They come with custom genes and abilities. On world generation, 3~4 sites will appear: the tombs of elder vampires, each with a powerful ability you cannot get any other way. Don't like these xenotypes? Create your own! The mod adds several genes and abilities my xenotypes don't use, so your custom vampires can feel unique. Carmilla The Carmilla control their own blood and the blood of others, making them powerful in combat. Abilities: [b]Exsanguinate[/b] - causes four hours worth of blood loss on a bleeding target. This can down them - or kill them. [b]Bloody Spears[/b] - turns all blood on the floor near the Carmilla into projectiles, thrown at a target. Different blood types have different effects; insect blood will cause toxic buildup, for instance. [b]Hemoshield[/b] - wraps the user in a blood barrier. This will immediately heal received damage. [b]Bloodblade[/b] - creates a sword made from the user's hemogen. Expends all hemogen; the more hemogen spent, the higher the quality. Orlok (requires Anomaly) Orloks are the most vile kind of sanguophage - ugly, beastly things that thrive in darkness, disease, and death. Abilities: [b]Bring to unlife[/b] - turns a corpse into a shambler, loyal to the user. Costs an amount of hemogen proportional to the corpse's body size. [b]Dark step[/b] - instantly teleports to a location. The Orlok's starting location and destination must both be in darkness. [b]Leech[/b] - sucks hemogen from a living human. Can be used on targets that would resist regular Bloodfeed. [b]Induce Plague[/b] - causes the plague on every target in an area. [b]Rat Swarm[/b] - weave rats from hemogen. They will fight the user's enemies. [i]Deathmend[/i] - when an Orlok undergoes Deathrest in a proper chamber, they slowly regenerate lost limbs and permanent wounds. Tepes Tepes are the result of genetic experimention and were designed to blend with and destroy sanguophages. They can absorb the abilities of their felled foes. Abilities: [b]Burning Blood[/b] - inflames the user's hemogen and throws it at a target and two additional nearby locations. [b]Communion[/b] - feeds another pawn some of the Tepes's refined hemogen, providing a variety of benefits. [b]Amaranth[/b] - feeds upon an incapacitated sanguophage, killing them permanently and absorbing one of their hemogenic abilities. This can also upgrade regular Sanguophage abilities up to three times. Will prioritize the abilities of elder vampires. Elder Abilities: [b]Soul Steal[/b] - absorbs the hemogen of all pawns in an area. [b]Blood Possession[/b] - controls a target through their blood, forcing them to act as the caster's ally and damaging their heart over time. [b]Into Darkness[/b] - causes an eclipse, snuffs torches, and gains melee potency in darkness. [b]Megiddo[/b] - uses a hemogenic reaction to project a burst of fire. FAQ Q: CE? A: No. Q: Can this be added mid-save? A: Yes, but elder vampires won't appear on the world map. Use the dev mode option "Spawn Site". Q: Is this compatible with VRE - Sanguophages? A: Yes, though this mod's abilities don't work with the Invocation Matrix. You can steal modded abilities with the Amaranth. Q: Is this compatible with Sanguophage Faction? A: Absolutely, my sanguophages spawn in that faction.
