Description
The F-5E Tiger II is an upgraded 1970s development of the earlier F-5 Freedom Fighter, featuring a more powerful engine setup, improved avionics, and the addition of a radar system for all-weather combat capability. Designed as a lightweight, low-cost multirole fighter, the F-5E combines high agility with simple, reliable systems, making it easy to operate and maintain. It typically carries AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles, a pair of 20mm cannons, and a flexible loadout of bombs or rockets for ground-attack missions. The Tiger II became one of the most widely exported Western fighters, serving across NATO partners and U.S.-allied nations worldwide.
