Ferret's Simple Spacers

Ever wanted an advanced faction in your game, but the technofeudalism of the Empire isn't what you had in mind? This mod introduces Spacer Organisations, high-tech factions that are just that. No space magic, no space imperialism, just space marines! And space capitalism! -===- FEATURES -===- Custom pawnkinds: military troops wear full suits of specific power armour variants and use fitting weapons for their tier. Custom namers: Civilians use procedurally generated nicknames while military troops are given callsigns and military ID codes. Custom faction and settlement names: mechanoids names, corporate and non-corporate factions, and plenty of references back to Sol. Configurability through a substantial quantity of toggleable patches in the Vanilla Expanded Framework menu. Not a fan of the custom tagging? Swap it out for vanilla tagging instead. Want them to use industrial weapons too? Go ahead! This mod is intended to be played alongside Royalty, a mod that includes additional spacer weapons such as Vanilla Weapons Expanded, DetVisor's Spacer Arsenal or Combat Extended Guns, and a mod that removes backer names such as Pawn Name Variety. Without Royalty, enemies may lack some variety and have to use unfitting weapons. Without an additional spacer weapon mod, you may notice issues with lacking guns. Backer names are able to overwrite the custom names, so you might see some guy called Kevin next to Albali 'Te-Arixos' Zubeneschamali or Cheleb 'Onyx V6-00297' Menchib. -===- SUPPORTED MODS -===- These mods are supported to add additional unit types: By Oskar Potocki and the Vanilla Expanded team: Vanilla Factions Expanded - Pirates (Marine Privateer, Entombed Brute, Entombed Controller, Entombed Guardian, Entombed Siegebreaker) By DetVisor: Impact Weaponry - Reloaded (Crusader) Spacer Arsenal (Ensign) These mods are supported to add additional weapons to the pools used but don't add new units: By Oskar Potocki and the Vanilla Expanded team: Vanilla Weapons Expanded Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Laser Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Heavy Weapons Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Coilguns Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Frontier (needs VWE Coilguns) Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Bioferrite By DetVisor: Phase Weaponry Pulse Weaponry By the Combat Extended team: Combat Extended Combat Extended Guns By assorted modders: Advanced Armaments (Turkler) These mods intentionally lack some or all patching, although I may decide to add patching later: Vanilla Factions Expanded: Empire: The armour types won't be given units due to their restricted nature and flavour text that links them so tightly to the Empire. The guns aren't tagged as SpacerGun so I’m assuming they're not intended to spawn on regular units. Vanilla Factions Expanded: Deserters: The only SpacerGun is the Charge Cycler, which might be annoying or weird since it's a thump weapon.
