Jet Engine Examples (Revamped+Improved)
A comprehensive set of examples showing how jet turbines react in different layouts, with the added bonus of built-in RPS limiters (adjustable 10-100 RPS in properties menu).
Each example turbine has three signs on them:
- The top sign (white/red) gives a brief description of the turbine's specific set-up
- The info sign (red question mark) gives a brief explanation of how the turbine reacts/reacted in it's specific set-up
- The note sign (red exclamation mark) gives any notable side-effects of the turbine's specific set-up, if there any are noteworthy
Each turbine comes with the option to test them yourself, allowing you to make your own conclusions:
- The green "ignition" button activates the "Jet ECU"(large green microcontroller) and deactivates any stopping elements.
- The orange "Throttle Override" button overrides the green throttle lever input, standard value is 1.0 for throttle override. (adjustable in the properties menu)
- The red "Killswitch" button provides an override to both the ignition and throttle override, activating the resistive elements and shutting down the jet engine.
I was recently reminded of my previous jet engine examples, and realized how uninformative they were as examples, so I created this much improved version that should be at least a little more helpful.
