I made this almost as a Joke to try and see just how cheap I could go and still Drill for Oil, yet, shockingly, it works, and works surprisingly well!
To get around the fact that the Rotary Table can't move too much or it will snap the drill Rod, the Oil Drilling Raft works by simply being light enough it can use the well head and drill rod as an anchor... in fact, it's so light it will lift itself up on to the drill rod and host itself into the air while drilling, using it's own weight to push the Drill down!
The only issue is there isn't enough Slurry to dig more then a few meters, and there is no power generation on the Raft itself, nor is the holding tank for Oil very large.
All of these things you will need to provide with support vehicles of some type. I have my solutions posted to the workshop, but the beauty is this Raft just handles the drilling, you can use whatever you want to solve the other aspects of Oil Drilling!
