This extension to the Wormholes: New Game Plus mod also resets your technologies but keeps your infinite bonuses. That means starting the game with a high productivity, high weapons damage, and the like.
You'll find your platforms lose all recipes (including the ability to process rocks!), until you research them again.
Need an in-game explanation? The chemical composition of the minerals and their alloys is all slightly different over the new planet, requiring new research to unlock each bit.
