The B-33 is a relatively fast bomber with a decent stores capacity and mediocre range for its size. It has air-refueling capability, a level bomb computer to allow for strategic bombing in all-weather conditions, and a impact point bomb sight for tactical dive bombing. Plans are to modify this airframe into multiple variants to perform air refueling, electronic warfare and precision bombing. NEW: You can now mount GPU-12A Gun Pods or LAU-25 Rocket Pods to help with attack missions. Should work on all pylons but I recommend mounting them on the inner wing pylons, either as a pair of one pod type or one of each per side. Specifications: ()Length: 25.50 Meters ()Height: 5.75 Meters ()Width: 27.25 Meters ()Weight: 5072 Mass Units ()Cost: $52,510 ()Maximum Speed: ~240 Knots ()Fuel Tank: ~14000 Liters ()Full Throttle Range: ~250KM ()Armament: 8 Wing Hardpoints + Bomb Bay w/ 20x Mk-60 Small Warhead Bombs Controls Startup/Takeoff (1) On the right panel, turn on the BATT switch, then turn on the L ENG ON AND R ENG ON switches (2) Close the canopy, the front button will close both cockpits. (3) Wait till engines reach idle at about 14% N1 otherwise the plane may yaw hard when it begins rolling. (4) Disable the parking brake and use the rudder to steer during taxi (5) Set throttle to max power (0.50) for takeoff (6) Retract landing gear and flaps once in flight Landing (1) Set throttle to maintain 110-120 knots (approx. 10.0) (2) Once speed is established, lower the gear and flaps (3) Once the flaps are down, the aircraft will suddenly gain lift, reduce throttle power to about 8.0 (4) Once the speed is settled, pull a bit more throttle back to about 6.5-7.5 (5) The aircraft should be descending with a level nose, but have enough pitch control to flare the nose to land. (6) Add throttle if the aircraft gets too slow and the nose starts falling Level Bombing This aircraft also has a CCIP-style bombing gunsight that will compute the rough impact point of the bomb along the vertical line that may be used as well. (1) Input the bombing target coordinates and optional target altitude in the keyboard on the back before startup, unless you have someone in the back seat who can set this for you on the fly. (2) Once airborne and a few kilometers out from target, select the desired pylon on the pylon selector window (center=bomb bay), enable the PYLON DROP ARM, and open the bomb bay if using center stores (3) Follow the bomb computer gauges for left/right lineup, and once over the approximate drop point, the vertical gauge will be centered and two bombing indicator lights will illuminate. (Recommend level drop speed 180-200 kts) (4) Drop the bomb with the space bar, for the bay stores, every press will drop a set of bombs until the bay is empty (5) For carpet bombing using the bomb bay, it is recommended to begin dropping a bit early on the drop time, then dropping through the indicated time until empty Credits () B57-RB Canopy Design () Aircraft Dive Bombing Sight () Thales's Gyro () Fuselage & Wing Mockup (PWFS B0725): PingWorks () AN/APS-63 Search Radar: Saxon Technology () AN/ARC-7 Radio: PingWorks () Pylon Controller: PingWorks
