Rebalanced Advanced Mechanoids
I love the Advanced Mechanoids mod, but I think it makes things too easy, so I created this mod/patch for my runs because I really like the style and concept of another level of vanilla mechanoids.
This mod only changes a few definitions.
Obviously, it requires the original mod.
What does the mod/patch do?
- Tiered mechs are now only unlocked in Ultratech mech. This is because if you unlock the paramedic and the advanced paramedic at the same time, you will obviously choose the advanced paramedic. This applies to many other mechs.
- The working speed goes from 100% to 60%. I know that it only differs by 10% from vanilla mechs, but a good mechanitor can increase it to approximately 80% through implants, not to mention that if you have mods such as mechanoid upgrades, this could get out of control.
- The movement speed isn't spared either. I admit it makes me laugh to see advanced lifters move faster than almost any creature, moving objects from one place to another, but if you're looking for a challenging game, this patch only increases the speed of advanced mechs slightly compared to vanilla mechs.
- Manufacturing advanced mechs is now more expensive. I really like these mechs, and I've given them an appropriate cost if you're looking for a high-difficulty run.

Thanks to the original author of the mod for allowing me to publish this patch. Originally, this mod/patch was for personal use and to learn about .xml files, but it turned out so well and it's so satisfying to reach the mechs that I thought I'd share it, and here we are.
