Don’t want another framework? No problem—a standalone tier-6 psycast “Possession” is also provided for 100 % vanilla games.
NEW PATH: SOUL WEAVER
Soul Weavers are psycasters who walk the line between life and death, bending the spirit itself into weapon and veil. They can evict a soul from its flesh, wear another's body like a second skin, or unravel an enemy's psyche with a whisper.As masters of spiritual surgery, Soul Weavers trade in taboo and transcendence. They tear souls loose, stitch them into new vessels, and weave lingering ghosts into devastating curses. To face a Weaver is to risk becoming an empty husk—or a hollow puppet.
New hediff: vegetative
A body that has lost its soul becomes vegetative—alive, but empty.
ABILITIES
•Out of body
Separate soul from body; the astral form is immune to physical harm and can pass through walls.
• Possession
Invade an unprepared soul, kill the host and walk away in their skin.
• Soul Swap
Rip two souls from their bodies at once and let them trade places.
• Soul Split
Sever a fragment of your own soul to hypnotise and control a target.
• Soul Assimilation
Target a hypnotised pawn; the caster’s soul completely overwrites the victim’s.
• Soul Strike
Attack the target’s soul directly, inflicting random mental breaks.
• Soul eliminate
Obliterate the target’s soul outright.
• Soul Quake
Expand your soul across the entire map tile, releasing a wave of psychic energy that snuffs out every soul beyond a safe inner ring.
• Soul Bind
Lock the target’s soul inside its body; for the duration the target is truly immortal.

It is strongly recommended not to use Possession or any soul-transfer abilities on special NPCs added by other mods.

Think vegetative pawns should just be left to die? Toggle it in the mod settings—already-vegetative pawns won’t be affected.
The mod is still in active testing; because it touches a lot of systems I can’t cover every edge-case.
