Introduction
Designed primarily for transoceanic convoy escort, the Reef-class features a number of heavy weapons relative to its size. The bow battle cannon and aft dual autocannon work excellently against surface targets, and the latter combined with a modest armament of light autocannons help defend against air attacks. Anti-submarine weaponry is provided by six easy-to-use depth charges mounted on the fantail. Its swift speed allows it to cross large distances quickly and to chase down submarines and other small craft, although its fuel efficiency leaves much to be desired. The Reef-class combines all three pillars of naval warfare into one compact package.
