Hiding this for now. Will eventually release a full mod maybe!
This is a test mod Colonel Salisbury.
Although nothing should break, I haven't implemented everything. Changes might be made. Changes might break your game so don't use this like it's a finished product.
Current things available in some fashion:

[*] Moon should be able to be added mid game.
[*] Moon should generate with Vacstone and (maybe)some other rock on their tiles.
[*] Expect a ton of mineable resources.
[*] Faction icons, caravans, and gravships should render properly on the moon.
[*] Temperature on the moon will wildly fluctuate from day-night.
[*] You will be unable to take a shuttle or drop pod to the moon. Only Gravship.
[*] Small patches of dirt that may contain moon grass. This way various moon creatures can survive.
[*] Landmarks should appear on the planet. Hopefully no water based landmarks appear.
[*] From the Moon Faction mod. Vaccalo will have increased temperature resistance and may spawn on your tile. They don't have food so be sure to feed them. (cry emoji)
[*] Expect some random logging on world gen/game load.
[*] Probably doesn't break with Gravships expanded.
[*] If you load the game with Moon Factions and this mod the moon should be populated with it.
[*] If you load moon Factions after this moon was already generated, nothing will happen.
[*] If you have the mod Layered Atmosphere and Orbit, some patches I made will not apply and instead I let LAO do all the hard work. Be sure to enable it in LAOs settings.
[*] SOS2 will work with this. However, it looks like SOS2 ships can't land on top of craters provided by odyssey. So it will be difficult for them to land.

Things that do not work/not yet implemented:

[*] Caravan travel paths render relative to the planet. If you know how to fix them please share.
[*] I don't know what events are available on the moon. Or how raids work (if they do)
[*] moon has stretch marks on it. This is due to planet size. I may not be able to fix it.
[*] Needs more stuff on it.

Things that do not work from other mods

[*] World map beautification and Regrowth will try rendering the moon. It looks cool but is [i]probably[/i] not intended.
[*] If VE framework is active, it will not add factions to the moon layer properly
[*] Markers from worldbuilder do not appear on the moons layer
[*] LAO will not factor in fuel cost properly

[*] Size of moon? bigger? more tiles? Move it somewhere else?
[*] More biomes on the moon? Make small biome where there is oxygen?
[*] How does temperature range feel?
[*] Enemies on the moon?
[*] Plants that can survive the vacuum of space?
