Home Area Function Split

Have you ever felt like the Home Area has too many responsibilities tied to it? Maybe you want to protect your crops from fire, but don’t want to be forced to clean that whole area too. Or perhaps you need to repair a geothermal generator out in the wild, only to find that thrumbos and other fence-ignoring animals have decided to wander right through it… If you’ve ever wished you could keep just one of the functions of the Home Area — now you (mostly) can! This mod adds independent Firefight and Repair zones, so your colonists will only put out fires and repair structures inside those designated areas. Cleaning and auto-rebuilding still rely on the original Home Area. ✅ Safe to add to existing saves 🛠️ To remove safely: Method 1: In-Game (Recommended) 1.Open the Zone/Area tab 2.Select the "Clear" tool for both Firefight and Repair areas 3.Remove all assigned cells for both areas (make sure they are completely empty) 4.Save your game 5.Uninstall the mod Method 2: Manual Save Editing (If you can't load the game) 1.Find your save file (usually in C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\Saves) 2.Make a backup copy of your .rws save file 3.Open the original with a text editor (like Notepad++) 4.Search for <areaManager> 5.Look for and delete these entire sections: <li Class="home_area_split.Area_FireFight">...</li> <li Class="home_area_split.Area_Repair">...</li> 6.Save the file and try loading it in-game
