Muvluv J-20 Mighty Dragoon

A mod that adds J20 Dragoon. CE compatible Welcome to the New Era, BETA. Let us welcome the Eight-Winged Angel, the Savior of the Mongolian Campaign, the Guardian of the Chinese United Front — J-20 Mighty Dragoon. This mod is under continuous development — small bugs and texture issues will gradually be fixed, and new equipment will be added soon. Gameplay Notes: Natively supports Combat Extended (CE). Under both CE and vanilla, the Heavy Metal Cloud Projector fires smoke rounds that slow enemy aiming speed. When used with DMS, it fires anti-charge smoke rounds. The Type 95-1 Shoulder Cannon can only fire forward, and is very slow to shot and reload, in exchange for extremely high accuracy and large ammo capacity. In vanilla, it will preform like CE and almost never miss when enemy is within about 4 blocks. The Jump Module grants a movement speed and ignores movement impair after activation; movement speed buff is not yet functional and will be fixed later. The Core Module has very low base movement speed, but when combined with the Waist Module, speed is greatly increased. Compatible with all Dragoon weapons, including handheld and modular types. It first appeared on the Mongolian battlefield on January 11, 2011. Designed to balance maneuverability, sortie endurance and low observability, the platform is intended for sustained high-intensity operations in the East Asia battle field. With the WS-10B-3 jump unit installed, the Dragoon can deliver short bursts of high thrust for rapid sprints and aggressive maneuvering. Its sensor suite includes a GaN Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar and a laser-countermeasure pod for Laser-Class threats. Drawing on combat philosophies exemplified by the F-22A and Su-27, the design strikes a balance between high maneuverability and reduced detectability. Weaponry Type 95-1 Support Assault Cannon (Left/Right Shoulder) A support assault cannon derived from the Type-95 assault cannon. The system replaces the original 125 mm smoothbore and 36 mm HVAP cannons with a target-designation pod and a 30×165 mm autocannon. The smaller caliber rounds allow roughly 50% more ammunition compared with the 36 mm gun; a single module can carry up to 500 rounds while not using the core module’s storage unit. This variant is an underarm-mounted, belt-fed configuration that fires automatically under control of the onboard fire-control computer and designation pod, delivering very high accuracy, but it is constrained to firing only in the forward direction of the host TSF. QJZ-171 Squad support gun Drawing on lessons from the EU's MK.57 squad support gun, this is a new-generation universal support cannon that replaces the Type 89 125mm support gun. It is designed to reduce caliber so that squad-level firepower achieves a balance between destructive power and sustained fire. Replacing the 125mm smoothbore — which was excessive for killing small- and medium-sized Beta — it fires 57 × 438 mm Bofors autocannon rounds while still ensuring post-shock effects against low-armored Beta and penetration against high-armored Beta. In combat, using APFSDS can destroy the joints of fortress-class units, and at ranges within 500 m with an incidence angle under 20°, it can penetrate the frontal armor of assault-class units. The smaller caliber also brings larger ammo capacity and higher rate of fire: the 40-round drum actually feeds with a disintegrating-link belt, combining the drum’s portability with the feeding stability of a belt. The Type 171 support cannon abandons the water-cooling that frequently failed on the MK.57 in favor of active air cooling plus muzzle backflow air-cooling. Its safe rate of fire has been raised from the Type 89 125mm’s 15 rounds per minute to 180 rounds per minute, and its firing modes are single shot and four-round burst. LY-1Heavy Metal Deployer (Left/Right Shoulder) A battlefield-deployable aerosol-dispersal device that releases micronized heavy-metal particulates into the air to form a high-density metallic haze. Once activated, the haze effectively degrades Laser-Class BETA target acquisition by scattering coherent light and reducing lock-on speed. The cloud’s effective duration depends on wind and particulate density and typically lasts 120–180 seconds under standard atmospheric conditions. Due to its high toxicity and expensive production cost, the device is authorized only for frontline defensive operations or TSF assault missions. This variant is a miniaturized version produced by North Industries Corporation, enabling heavy-metal cloud munitions—originally intended for 155 mm+ artillery—to be carried by TSFs; naturally, its effectiveness is substantially reduced. Q: Whats next? Some sprite redraw, a engine module that allows you to travel to and from orbit, a new TSF from ATSF project.
