The mounted gun is not actually displayed on the turret's texture. All of the guns will have the same texture. But the mounted gun will be displayed under the turret label in the bottom left corner if you select the turret itself.
A mounted weapon cannot be retrieved once mounted.
Single-use and melee weapons cannot be mounted on a custom turret.
Custom turrets do not require steel to repair their barrels.
To mount a weapon right click a turret with a pawn that has the weapon equipped.
When built, custom turrets will come with a standart mini-turret gun preinstalled.

Q: Can you make it compatible with X mod?

Q: Is it compatible with CE?
A: I don't know, I don't use CE.
