Do you rescue a downed colonist's weapons before you rescue the colonist?
Do you see a book with 59/60 hp, and wonder why the traders who managed to drop that book to you from orbit couldn't have put it in a plastic bag to protect it from the rain?
This mod introduces a delay before any item starts deteriorating, giving you time to finish the fight and treat the wounded, without having to worry about your legendary rifle taking deterioration damage.
The delay can be set between 1 hour and up to 7 days. You can also turn deterioration off completely, though that's probably not a good idea. But hey, I'm not your mom, you do you.
Dead plants will always deteriorate normally.
Keep in mind that this will not prevent damage from fire, explosions, or being eaten by rabid muffalos. Rotting and such is also going on as usual.
Can be added and removed mid-game without issues. The settings can be changed on the fly, and there is a setting for turning the delay off, if you only want it after particularly nasty fights or something.
