CORPSES ARE BEAUTIFUL
Four precepts for believers who find beauty in death, memory in unburied bodies, and euphoria in rot.
Some colonists mourn the dead. Your believers appreciate them.
Decay is transformation. Corpses are evidence—proof that bodies worked, bled, existed. Each body observed leaves a lasting impression.
This mod adds the ideology precepts: Celebrated, Obsessed, Unburied Friends Are Beautiful, and Rot Enthusiast.
PRECEPT MECHANICS
CELEBRATED – Stable Appreciation

- Duration: 24 hours
- Max stacks: 20 (up to +40 mood)
- Cooldown per corpse: 2 days (48h)
Manageable rotation, steady mood growth.
OBSESSED – Intense Collection

- Duration: 18 hours
- Max stacks: 20 (up to +60 mood)
- Cooldown per corpse: 2.5 days (60h)
Higher peak, demands larger corpse variety.
UNBURIED FRIENDS – Memorial Cycle

- Duration: 3 days active (+0.5 days cooldown = 3.5 cycle)
- Stacking: Non-stackable per pawn per corpse (periodic refresh)
- Replaces: Vanilla negative "Colonist left unburied" thought
Turns grief into reverent appreciation. No more burial pressure.
ROT ENTHUSIAST – Scent of Decay
- Buff: +8 mood situational while exposed to rot stink
- Effect: Inverts vanilla rot stink mood penalties only
- Health: All rot-related illness risks remain unchanged
They inhale what others flee.
COMPATIBILITY
- RimWorld 1.6+ (Ideology DLC required)
- Harmony required
- Works with Biotech / Odyssey / Anomaly
- Coexists with vanilla "Corpses: Don't Care" , but you can also mix with other precepts.
- Safe to add mid-save (backup first!)
⚠️ WARNING
Your colony will smell. Refrigeration advised.
Corpse rotation becomes logistic gameplay. Neglect rotation and stacks decay.
