I want bioferrite armor so I will get bioferrite armor. Combat Extended patches all melee weapons and armor to use Metallic_Weapon or Steeled instead of vanilla's Metallic. I just add those 2 flags to every metallic material that doesn't already have them, basically reverting back to vanilla behaviour.
Should be compatible with any weapons/armor/matrial mod. Needs to be loaded after mods that add metallic materials, but CE already patches a lot of those and therefore loads after them so you should generally be safe.
If you use a mod that doesn't get their material patched by this then just link it in the comments and I'll add it to my "loadAfter" section :)
