I'm uploading this mod right now with
4 other optional patches
that you can use together or separate if you want. Links below.
Let's start from what I've removed from the original:
Violence disabled - That's a very boring gene. Most players (sweats) hate this xenotype because of it.
Instead I suggest weak melee damage and NearSighted (nearsighted goes as an optional patch, Link below)
Delicate - description of this gene says it's about weak bones and joints. Highmates are not born, they are made, most even not long ago. I believe they shouldn't be developing weak bones in one lifetime. Instead, I suggest extra pain gene.
They are supposed to be more sensitive to pleasure, with which the pain comes...
Long haired - there is no way you grow long hair without growing short hair first. Also there are many short haircuts that really suit highmates.
Thin body - highmates are supposed to become more beautiful and appealing to most people. Thin body in the game seems very dystrophic(suited for Genies), therefore it can't be appealing to most people.
GreyLess hair - Their normal hair color is white, grey is just a slight difference. Yeah maybe highmates would love not being noticed as old, but why would their creators want that? Trick customers? Maybe.
Awful plants - maybe their skin is too sensitive for plant work. But it shouldn't remove passion!
I considered bringing poor plants instead. But metabolism is too low already.
If someone asks I can make another optional patch for that.
Now let's talk about additions!
Cold weakness - sensitive body.
UV sensitivity - Why not? Have you seen the color of their skin?XD
They have literally no melanin in it.
I as a very white person can guarantee it slows you down and gives you a mood debuff in real life.
(That's all this gene does by the way. I never minded playing sanguophages in daylight)
Tinderskin & pyrophobia - For example, their bodies may be designed to produce pheromones and/or skin oils to endorse attraction. And these things might as well be very flammable. Noone in glitterworlds would care to fix this because of a definitely perfect fire suppression. But have fun with it on your Rimworld;)
Dead calm - another compromise to "violence disabled" removal.
Weak melee damage - Weak muscles, compromise to "violence disabled"
Extra pain - compromise to "delicate".
Poor Construction - Comes with weak body.
Strong Cooking - Explanation like in my any other rework, more sterile body. (And don't say you didn't want it)
Poor animals/b] - compromise to Awful animals
Strong Artistic - Who else if not them? Also their way of life should lead to more of an artistic lifestyle I believe.
Strong medical - Sterile body, and way of life.
Poor intellectual - Their way of life definitely makes it harder to concentrate on research. (remember, it doesn't mean they can't do it)
Alcohol, smoke leaf, psychite resistance - highmates are social, that's what people use for socializing I suppose. (I just had too much spare metabolism left...)

This mod is a PATCH therefore it's compatible with anything and safe to remove midgame.
