Askholm Light Station - 1892
Askholm Light Station
Construction started in 1890 funded by the Danish government, in 1892 the beacon was lit for the first time, in 1961 she was given a electric lantern. and in 1962 the last keeper left the station, the keepers houses were bought by a private Museum who wanted to restore the buildings. in 1963 it opened as a museum and in 1970 the tower opened to the puplic, Although the museum owns the buildings it is still a active light and the beacon still shines at night.
How to operate
How to operate Beacon:
Enter the tower and climb the stairs, once at the top crank the handle till the rope is as high as it can go then turn on the Lantern, when the weight reaches the bottom of the tower you gotta crank the winch up again to keep the light turning,

How to operate steam fog signal:
Enter the machinery room, turn on the boilers and open the valves labled "Steam Horn"
