Original mod description:
NeuroEyes is a Neurotrauma mod (a mod of a mod) that adds a new organ: Eyes.
Neurotrauma is required for this mod to work. Put this mod below Neurotrauma in the modlist.
Lua for Barotrauma is also required.
Short surgery guide
Eye removal:
-Give anesthetics (or knock the person out)
-Use skin retractors (on head)
-Use the eye scalpel (on head)
Eye transplant
-Get any eye
-Use skin retractors (on head)
-Use muscle connectors (on head)
-Use eye gel (on head)
-Use the eye to put it back in
Surgery can't be done if you have a diving suit on, or you don't have morphine (or aren't knocked out). Atleast 30 medical skill is needed, otherwise the surgery may not go to plan.
To cure autoimmune retinopathy, cataracts and other diseases, cut out the eye and put it back in. This is the mod's version of "eye surgery".
New content:
Eyes
Can be damaged and removed
Damage causes screen distortion
Can be damaged by: Neurotrauma, skull fractures, low oxygen concentrations, strokes, sepsis and Autoimmune retinopathy
Autoimmune retinopathy can randomly happen when transplanting eyes. It will slowly damage the eyes, and requires transplantation to cure.
Remember to store all organs in a refrigerated container
Being blind causes you to zero out all your skills (until you get a new eye), and adds a dark overlay
Deteriorates quickly in water without any protection
Can get cataracts if it's damaged
Bionic eyes
Same as the eye, but more resistant
Dies much slower outside the body
Can't be damaged by Neurotrauma, low oxygen concentrations and strokes.
Autoimmune retinopathy is much rarer
Improves the user's vision
Multiplies all skills by 1.15
Night vision eyes
Gives you "night vision" (not really, just fancy hud overlay)
Night vision is always enabled, even when you don't want it
"Infrared" eyes
Makes it a bit harder to see (tints your screen blue)
Increases your skills by 1.08
Plastic "eyes"
Makes it really hard to see
Worse than a normal eye in almost every way
Cheap to make
High chance of Autoimmune retinopathy
Lowers your skills
Monster eyes
Makes it somewhat harder to see
Gained from monsters
Used in crafting a normal eyeball
High chance of Autoimmune retinopathy
Doesn't get damaged underwater
Husk eyes
Turns your vision purple
Cannot be damaged by water
Used in crafting a normal eyeball
Improves your skills
Very small chance of husk infection every once in a while
Advanced eyeball extraction device
Hit a crawler, mudraptor or hammerhead with it to get it's eyes
Hit any husk or husked creature to get husk eyes
Can't be used on humans
Can be used on dead creatures
Breaks after 1 use
Very complicated to use
Eye drops
Speeds up eye healing
Cant heal past 50% (because one of the eyes is dead above 50% eye damage)
Muscle connectors
Use before putting in an eye, along with Eye gel
Required for eye transplants
Eye gel
Use before putting in an eye, along with Muscle connectors
Required for eye transplants
Eye scalpel
Use on a person with eyes to remove them (make sure to give morphine and use skin retractors first)
Make sure to give anesthetics to the person before surgery, or it may fail catastrophically
Made just like the other organ scalpels
Glasses
Slightly helps with vision (removes the blurred vision affliction)
Takes up the head slot
