The MZKT-7930 “Astrolog” is a high-mobility, 8×8 heavy tactical chassis developed by the Belarusian manufacturer MZKT (Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant). Intended as a modern successor to the MAZ-543/7310 family, the project began in the late 1990s, with full-scale production starting in the early 2000s.
Since its introduction, the MZKT-7930 has been used as the base for numerous major systems, including:
• Iskander-M ballistic missile system
• Bal-E coastal defence missile system
• Tor-M2DT/M2KM variants
• 9S32M, 9S36 and 9A317M components of the Buk-M2/M3 family
• Mobile radar stations and command posts
Its combination of power, mobility and modularity made it one of the most common modern heavy chassis for Eastern-block missile and radar systems.
