Bionic and Implant Genes!

Welcome to Bionic and Implant Genes! This mod adds genes that cause pawns to grow bionics and implants! The lore for these is, uh, the lore is... ummm... hereditary nanobots! Yeah! Keep in mind: On obtaining or being born with the gene, the pawn will gain the implant or bionic part. Removal of the implant or bionic, removes the implant or bionic. The pawn will not magically regrow it. Removing then reapplying a gene, however, will regrow the bionic. More Content Available With These aren't required to use the mod, but you will get more genes if you use these - Rimworld's DLCs, especially Royalty - FSF Advanced Bionics Expansion: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2006925330 - Plasma Shield Implant: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2947388281 Requirements: - The VE Framework! This is what makes it all possible! - Biotech DLC... duh! - Obviously, implants from mods or DLCs will not appear if you don't use the mod or DLC Compatibility Incompatibility is unlikely. That said, one could emerge if any mod removes the implants or bionics this adds genes for. Future Plans: Adding genes for modded implants and bionics: - The rest of FSF Advanced Bionics (so far only added genes for its Core implants and bionics) - Integrated Implants Patching any incompatibilities! Becoming the King of England! Mods this goes well with These essentially let you customize your gameplay more, so for example you can make these genes can have a presence in the NPC factions or special xenotypes. You're more than welcome to look at the beautiful XML that fills its files, and make bionic/implant gene mods of your own. Some cool ideas that have come to mind while making this include: - Making new, non-craftable bionics that can only be obtained by genetic modification, or harvesting from those who genetically have these parts. Xenotype who's hunted for their valuable hearts? With this mod, you can already do this with tech-limiting mods and re-skinning of basegame bionics and implants. - Xenotypes that are deliberately better off with their natural bodyparts than with bionics, so for them bionics are to replace what's lost, not upgrades. Future Plans: Adding genes for modded implants and bionics. Patching any incompatibilities! Becoming the King of England! Thankyou to: Members of Rimworld discord's modding section, for explaining things to me. The VE team for making the VE Framework that makes this all possible. Sarg in particular for showing me the VE's modding wiki. A beautiful place! If you think I'm super cool and stuff: https://www.youtube.com/@jimothyworldbuilding3664 Note that this channel is *NOT* Rimworld related. It's a worldbuilding channel. That said, you might notice some Rimworld-esque stuff in the worldbuilding, such as organ harvesting, war crimes, morbid hilarity and widespread cannibalism.
