Single Furnace Stack
Overview
- Adds duplicate stone, steel, and electric furnaces that can consume an entire belt of ore per second.
- Best used together with loaders for clean, full-belt throughput.
- Optionally converts furnaces to assembling machines for better compatibility with mods like Krastorio 2.
Throughput and belt requirements
- Steel and electric furnaces have a crafting speed of 2.
- To keep up with a full belt per furnace, you either need:
- A belt running twice as fast as the level of belt the furnace is balanced for
- Example: use a red belt with a “yellow belt” furnace.
- Or 2 belts of the expected level feeding the furnace.
Balance, fuel, and pollution
- Fuel consumption, pollution, and output per furnace are balanced to match the expected number of vanilla furnaces.
- In vanilla, each high-throughput furnace represents 48 furnaces’ worth of:
- Fuel consumption.
- Pollution.
- Production.
- In Krastorio 2 (currently tested mainly with Spaced Out), each furnace represents 24 furnaces’ worth, since each furnace requires twice as much ore.
Unlocks and crafting
- Each furnace tier unlocks with its corresponding belt tier:
- Higher tiers unlock when you research the matching transport belt.
- Furnaces are crafted using the vanilla number of furnaces from the previous tier (this is configurable).
