Being gunned down storming a pirate base on an ice sheet? No cover around the defoliator ship you left too long? No problem! This mod adds two single use utility items at the machining table, allowing your pawns to create cover on the go.
The deployable cover pack is a collapsible barricade that takes up the utility spot which can be thrown about half as far as a grenade. Upon landing it will spawn a plasteel barricade. Can be built at the machining table.
The portable energy emitter is lighter and can be thrown as far as a grenade. Upon landing it will spawn an energy shield based of the Covenant emplaced shield from Halo, which has much more health and provides a whopping 70% cover effectiveness while still being considered low cover. Can be built at the machining table after Shields research is completed.
[b]Compatibility[/b]
Anything that changes the vanilla barricades will not be effected in this mod. While the plasteel barricade deployed by the pack is completely identical to a vanilla plasteel barricade it's technically a distinct building, as SpawnsThingDef can only be passed a Thing and not Stuff as well and barricades are stuffable so it was throwing yellow errors and defaulting to wooden barricade.
