This mod adds a Truck. It has a custom speed limit, sound and research. You can adjust the recipe costs with a multiplicator.
It is available only as locomotive plus cargo trailer. Road rails are added as well.
Usage

You need to research the vehicle. They use barrels filled with gasoline as fuel.
