Howle Stinger MH-24A Djinn SAR Helicopter

Description The MH-24A Djinn is a light, twin-engine, short range, five bladed, medium lift maritime helicopter built by the fictional Howle Stinger Aeronautics Company for the Crown Islands Armed Forces. Its small size, fast speed, and relatively large lift capacity make it well suited as a search and rescue, naval logistics, troop transport, light reconnaissance, and airborne medevac platform. Although its small size easily facilitates shipborne deployment, it also limits its stay time and cargo capacity, limiting its use for short to medium range missions only; its role as a primary naval support helicopter also limits its combat capability, lacking weapon hardpoints and aerial countermeasures. The MH-24A is fully operational with a single pilot but is best utilized with a crew of 3 including a Pilot, Co-pilot, and Flight Engineer/SAR Swimmer. Features The MH-24A follows the Howle Stinger Aeronautics mythological naming convention and is aptly named the Djinn, a supernatural wish granting Arabic spirit, for its role as a logistics, SAR, and maritime reconnaissance helicopter. The Djinn features non-retractable tricycle type landing gear, a retractable cargo hoist, a forward and aft pitching rotor hub, forward and downward facing search lights, cold climate capabilities, a surface search radar with an effective range of 2NM, 4 marking flares, 4 illumination flares, a basic radar warning receiver, sliding bay doors, and a complex altitude/position hold system.
