The mod is most interesting in heavily modded environment where there are a lot of powerful and rare genes. The balance can easily be maintained by a player to their liking using the flexible settings ============================================= What's new in 1.6 version of the mod? - Support for Rimworld 1.6, Anomaly and Odyssee - Support for Rimworld 1.4 and Rimworld 1.5 - Fixed a bug related to the reform ideology and getting the Genomics meme - New role, Molecular Biologist. The Molecular Biologist is a hands-on specialist in scrutinizing and tinkering with fine molecular mechanisms of biology. The specialist is capable of extracting a copy of ("Clone a gene" ability) or removing ("Suppress expression" ability) a selected (even archite) gene from a subject. "Clone a gene" just creates a copy of a gene as a gene pack preserving the gene in the target. "Suppress expression" removes selected gene from the target and does not create a copy of it in form of a gene pack. Cooldown for both abilities is 10 days. Both require a downed pawn. The role becomes active when your faction has a set number of [MEMBER NAME]. It becomes inactive when your faction has a set number of [MEMBER NAME]. Requirements: Must be a [MEMBER NAME]. Must have Intellectual at least 15 AND Medical at least 10. Unlocked by Genomics. Molecular Biologis is only capable of firefighting, surgery, doctor work, all kinds of studies, drug synthesis, maintenance of equipment, flicking, teaching, entertaining, book writing and artistic. It is incapable of Violence (Shooting and Melee), Construction, Mining, Plant Work, Animal, Cooking, hauling, cleaning. There is a chance of fail and a chance of injury/death. The chance of fail scales with the complexity, metabolism, market multiplier and archite capsule count. The formula is: y = Cmin + (Cmax - Cmin) * ( |x1| / (k1 + |x1|) + |x2| / (k2 + |x2|) + |x3| / (k3 + |x3|) + |x4| / (k4 + |x4|) ) / 4 ,where y - chance of fail Cmin - minimum cap, default is 10% Cmax - maximum cap, default is 90% x1 - market multipler k1 - sensitivity for market multiplier (default 0.1) x2 - metabolism k2 - sensitivity for metabolism (default 1) x3 - complexity k3 - sensitivity for complexity (default 1) x4 - archite capsule count k4 - sensitivity for archite capsule count (default 1) The chance of injury/death is fixed.
