This mod is inspired by the artwork Anatomy of a Centipede[www.deviantart.com] by the artist BlackPanzerDragon[www.deviantart.com]. It causes any "centipede" of the "mechanoid" type in the game to eject a Muffalo pilot upon death. In addition to ejecting a Muffalo, the centipede will also drop some combat rations favored by Muffalos. They are veterans, each featuring a unique name.
Centipedes with a larger body size than the vanilla require more Muffalo pilots, so more Muffalos will pop out. Centipedes with a body size smaller than the vanilla centipede(3.0) will eject baby Muffalo.
For a standard 3.0 BodySize Centipede, a professional Muffalo pilot will pop out—occasionally carrying a few spare components for field maintenance. However, machines larger than the standard 3.0 size require a coordinated crew to operate, so expect even more Muffalos to bail out of the wreckage.
When you destroy a massive Centipede, you might witness a professional three-Muffalo team: a Commander, a Driver, and a Gunner. Gunners have a small chance of carrying high-explosive shells, while on extremely rare occasions, a Commander may be found with a legendary gold longsword—a ceremonial saber kept to signify their rank.
2025.12.10 v1.1 Update:
Small-sized centipedes will now eject baby muffalos, and the ejection can cover a longer range, by pass walls, and aims to help muffalos escape danger as much as possible.
