BACKGROUND
RAT is the world's second largest manufacturer of construction, industrial and material handling equipment, producing an line-up of equipment for different uses.
The RAT UniULD 55 is a diesel-electric UDL lifter designed to lift and position UniCon cargo containers in UniCon compatible vehicles. It allows two UniCon cargo crates to be stored, and features a dual platform design, allowing linking the loading deck to a vehicle while allowing the cargo deck to move up and down, for quicker cargo loading.
