R.M.S. Valentonia – Steam Ship Overview
The R.M.S. Valentonia is a majestic 1930s-era steamship, blending classic elegance with robust engineering and safety. With five fully furnished decks, the vessel offers a timeless interior while incorporating thoughtful operational systems for crew and passenger safety.
Lifeboats
The ship carries six traditional lifeboats, designed in the style of the era, deployed manually in case of emergency. They are evenly distributed along the sides of the ship for quick access.
Access and Operational Notes
To access the Lower Hull, crew must go to the left of the Captain’s Bridge, where a dedicated door leads down.
The Electrical Room, painted orange, houses all main power breakers, which must be turned on to supply power to the ship.
The Engine Room, located directly behind the Electrical Room, contains the steam propulsion machinery.
There are 10 water-tight door controls, each with glowing indicators for flood protection. Launchable flares are also located nearby for emergency signaling.
Safety, Redundancy & Combat Features
Equipped with fire suppression systems, multiple bilge pumps, and extensive redundancy in critical systems, the Valentonia is built for survival even in extreme situations.
Weaponry systems are installed for defensive purposes.
In case of severe flooding or damage, it would take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours for the ship to fully sink, allowing ample time for evacuation.
