SS Carl D Bradley Great Lakes Freighter
The Carl D Bradley was lunched on April 9th 1927 and was named the queen of the lakes until 1949 when she lost the title to the SS Wilfred Sykes. She had a crew of 35 and transported limestone from Lake Huron to ports on Lakes Michigan and Erie and occasionally Lake Superior and was homeported in New York. On November 18th 1958 she sunk in lake Michigan in a November gale after being torn in two. Only two men would survive the disaster with 33 men sadly loosing their lives . The Carl D I uploaded is not an exact replica of the real ship as I could not unfortunately find any pictures of her interior, nor does her self unloading boom and hatches work wet. She is a good ship to have some fun however and remember the story of her and her crew.
