Tired of enemies being dumb? This mod makes them actually think. Your enemies will no longer waltz straight into your traps or ignore your defenses. They'll scout for weak points, avoid fire zones and killboxes, use smoke to cover their advance, disable your turrets with EMP, and coordinate attacks like they actually have a brain. What This Does This mod reworks raid behavior to feel tactical but still performant. Enemies avoid traps and fire zones, pick safer breach points, and use specialized weapons intelligently. How Enemies Fight Now They Avoid Fire Zones (Killboxes) - Raiders avoid areas covered by turret or drafted colonist line of sight unless those units are already engaged in a firefight. They Avoid Traps - They try to spot and avoid lethal traps (not perfect). Elite units are more cautious. They Target Smart - Ranged units prioritize targets based on a mix of hit chance, threat (DPS), and low health. They Work Together - When one gets hit, the whole squad retaliates. Specialists (EMP, smoke, fire weapons) are used tactically. They Have Commanders - Each raid can have 1–2 leaders marked with ★. Kill a commander to cause chaos (30s first, 15s second, 7s third). Survivors can be promoted. They Can Desperate Rally - When you’re outnumbered 3:1, colonists gain a temporary last-stand buff. They Cut Your Power - Enemies analyze your power grid and target critical nodes instead of random generators. They Fear Zombies - Shamblers cause raiders to retreat 30+ tiles. If trapped, they burn them down. They Rescue Each Other - Firefoam carriers will rush to extinguish burning allies. They Breach Smarter - Breachers choose weak walls/doors that are outside turret/drafted colonist fire lanes, not just the nearest wall. Squad Types Breach - Wall breakers. They find safer weak points. Elite - Main combat force. Special - EMP, smoke, flamethrowers, rockets. Performance Optimized for large raids with caching and throttled scans. Settings You can toggle core features in the mod settings: Enable commander system Enable last stand buff Changes are saved and persist after restart. Safe to add mid-save. Fair Warning This makes the game noticeably harder. Your defenses need to actually work now.
