Bourbon Class Diesel-Electric Attack Submarine (
Bourbon-class Attack Submarine
The Bourbon-class is Cube International’s first serious attempt at a submarine, developed by the Sub Division shortly after someone said, “How hard can underwater be?”
Built with early Cold War thinking and late-night engineering decisions, Bourbon is a compact diesel-electric patrol submarine intended for coastal defense, ambush operations, and learning valuable lessons the hard way.
It carries 4 torpedoes in 2 forward tubes, which is considered plenty according to internal Cube documents. Crew size ranges from 2 to 5 personnel, depending on how optimistic you are and how much personal space you require.
Features:
2 forward torpedo tubes (4 total torpedoes)
Diesel-electric propulsion
Manual, hands-on submarine experience
Compact interior with “efficient” crew spacing
Designed to submerge, surface, and usually do both again
Operational Notes:
Trim may require constant attention
Silent running is achievable, briefly
Makes noises that were not part of the original design
The Bourbon is not fast, not quiet, and not forgiving — but it is reliable enough to be issued, and cheap enough to be built anyway.
