Kawauso-Class Landing Craft
With mobilization on new fronts becoming increasingly likely, the Imperial Redamuran War Directory was well aware that their armed forces were more equipped to seaborne combat. With this in mind, it was decided that the logistical component of their naval doctrine would require a revision. Although airships were fully capable of transporting troops, supplies and equipment, it would also be seen as a hindrance due to solely relying on the airship itself arriving at its destination, relegating an important asset to taxiing duty.
The Kawauso-class heavy landing craft was designed as a universal platform for ferrying cargo or combatants moderate distances across water, with itself able to be carried in multiple numbers by an airship or surface vessel acting as a mothership. The craft's hull was reinforced with light armor shielding for its driver and occupants, and was sturdy to accommodate a platoon of soldiers or any land vehicle in the Redamuran arsenal which could physically fit onto the deck. When paired with a mothership, half a dozen landing craft could—in turn—provide invaluable mobility for an entire company of infantry or a full tank platoon.
