Maritime Assistance and Tactical Evacuation ship.
Here's my first attempt at a boat for general ocean rescue missions.
Explanation of features:
Alternator - the alternator automatically kicks in if the main battery falls below 98%, it will noticeably drain the engines power, if the battery falls below 90% it will engage harder.
Throttle and gearing - there is a single toggle switch for high gear, and one for reverse. In low gear you can get to higher speeds than in high gear, but high gear is more fuel efficient.
Electric motors - the left throttle controls the power of two small electric propellers under the boat, handy for fine movement control. The throttle will set itself back to zero if the main engine is over 2RPS
Backup Battery - There is a breaker in front of the Help that connects a backup battery.
Heading setting - The dial-pad directly in front of the control seat can be used to set a heading. Numbers are in degrees from North. so 180 is south. -90 is west, 90 is east. the heading lock can be toggled with the leftmost toggle button on the top deck.
AutoBilge - there is a system down in the armoury that detects fluids in the lower or main cabin, they will automatically pump out water that comes in. The rear door is a wetdeck, keep the armoury shut or the boat can flood in heavy weather.
