After many years of ocean liners for the Blue Star Lines The cruise ship indrestry and jet travel gained popularity so much so that shipping companes Like Cunard, Blue Star Lines, The Italian Lines, (etc), started to lose money. So Blue Star Lines decided to build one last ocean liner called the M.S Blue Star. construction began in 1960 she was lunched in 1961 and sailed her madien voyege with out a hit! through out the early 60,s and mid 70,s The M.S Blue Star was one of the most popular ships for Blue Star! Then things took a turn. In 1976 The M.S blue Star was laid up waiting for a refit. She just sat there for 3 years until 1979 when she was thretend to be evicted from the south sawyer mothball group. Were famuos ships like the S.S Atlantia, M.S Edisto II, S.S Creative, etc, were laid up. She was fully refited by 1980. In 1985 she was retierd due to toxic fumes found being emited from her hull! In 1991 she was sold for scrap at the north Sawyer Scrap yard for boats and cars. As she was beached she was stolen by thefes who to this day are still unknown? In 1999 she was found in ruff shape and fully sunk at the multyplayer base behined the staiton building it's self. A restoration efert was made and was sucsesfule she was towed back to the creative base. She arived on new years day 1999. In 2010 she set sail on her frist passenger voyege since 6/61985.
