Addressing the most controversial addition first:
KIND?????
YES, but don't take it literally!
What 'kind' gene does is prevents them from insulting other pawns,
and prevents losing opinion because of ugliness or disfigurement.
Isn't that exactly what you would want from an engineered soldier?
They must not hate each other,
They must not hate any civilian,
They must not insult anybody. Dot.
Their aggression is only retaliatory.
If xenotype engineers have an option to use this gene, there is' zero to none reasons not to.
(You can argue in the comments, but I had half a year to think this through and you won't change my mind)
p.s. I planned to make this gene optional, but no longer.
Now moving on to other additions
Super Immunity (150138%) - I think everyone expected it? Didn't you? I would have sticked to strong immunity (110%), But Major cell instability kinda nerfs it to the ground.
Major Cell instability - What it does is:
1. lifespan factor x60% shortens the age for old age diseases(Pawns don't die from old age in this game)
2. Cancer Rate Factor x500%
3. Immunity gain speed x92% (150% * 92% = 138% Still huge)
Why?
Hussars are meant to be soldiers only. And soldier is expandable in the long run.
During xenotype engineering a flaw like this would most likely happen. And there are NO REASONS to fix it.
Fast wound healing - Xenotype was made by humans. Lets leave Super fast wound healing to designed by an Archotech Sanguophages
it's a mater of ratio.
Fast runner - it's not that hard to increase move speed of a person. And it's essential in warfare. Not only for running fast but also for tolerance to heavy armor.
Strong Stomach - The reason why, comes packed with super strong immunity. They must not get sick.
You can't guarantee the length and exodus of a battle, and you can't guarantee a supply of MREs to every soldier.
If a soldier is stuck somewhere for days, he still should be able to perform as best as he can as long as he is alive.
Slow learning / Poor intelectual - Hussars are engineered for one purpose, and that doesn't only mean that they have to excel i that purpose.
It also means that they must not see other alternatives in life.
Their mind is meant to work fast with trained and deeply integrated skills. But reasoning, curiosity, reflection and all that similar must be reduced.
Ugly - 'They are famous for their blood-red eyes and "hussar stare", a dead expression that unsettles many people.' - in-game description.
They do have red eyes, but it doesn't seem like they unsettle any people. So here is the fix:)
And remember, they don't hate each other because of the 'kind' gene.
Low Libido - Soldier's chance to ever have sex is close to zero. Why would you want them to even think about it? Same goes for kids. They shouldn't even think about family.
I also made them sterile, but it's an optional patch(Link below). Because many people would hate it here, and many would like it separate from this rework.
Removed genes:
Super fast wound healing - nerfed to just 'fast wound healing'
Terrible Plants - Yes there is a reason as to why they should be bad in plants, but there is also no possible way to explain HOW can they be bad at plants.
Terrible animals - Same as plants but this time a bit arguable, yes maybe red eyes might scare animals, somehow. But I don't buy it.
(My favorite hussar is an AWOL soldier who is a 'plants' nerd:)
Short hair only - Soldiers should actually be bald. But if they can grow hair, nothing should stop them from growing it long.
(Also as far as I noticed this gene prevents them from having even SHORT hairstyles from other mods.
