A multi-role, supersonic, fighter type aircraft. [b]History and Development of this aircraft:[/b] | The FV-1 Rapide (Fighter like Vehicle - 1) is a multipurpose aircraft, specifically designed for aerial combat and surface strike. The FV-1 is based on the F-22 Raptor, including its profile, maneuverability, and other key functionalities. Although I would have made a direct replica, making replicas in Stormworks is tedious and limiting. This mindset is also encouraged by Alternative’s choice to not make direct replicas. | The FV-1 Raphide's development started around 1 1/2 years ago in the summer of 2024. Before then, the last time I released a manned craft was 2 years prior to that. This project was meant to teach me about "modern" jet tech within the game, and it led to a long lasting development of innovation and challenges. Since the start of development, I worked on and off to make the FV-1 an aircraft that is fun to fly and hopefully isn't cope (you can be the judge of that). | In the middle of the FV-1's development, Alternative Industries entered into a prototype aircraft contest, and using the technology already developed in the FV-1, the FV-4 was produced within the span of 2 months. The FV-4 boasted a top speed of around 500 m/s, and an impressive range, all while housing 3 internal hardpoints. | Two variations of the FV-1 are planned to be made in the future, including a bomber type variant, and another that is currently classified. [b]Specification:[/b] | - Crew Capacity: 1 - Length: 21.5m - Wingspan: 14.25m - Height: 5.25m - Standard Mass: 23,057 units - Empty Mass: Soon to be defined - Fuel Capacity: 7218.75 Liters - Range: Over 100km - Speed: Around 450 m/s - Weapons: Rotary gun w/ 450 rounds - Hardpoints: 6 external hardpoints, 2 side internal hardpoints, and 2-6 center internal hardpoints (2 3x3 (limited length) or 6 1x3 (limited length)).
