What the mod adds
On a pawn’s birthday (the honoree), a party may be held for them. Relatives and friends from neutral/friendly factions can come to celebrate the honoree.
Birthday party
The party is organized by the pawn who has the highest relationship with the honoree. Only the honoree’s relatives and friends can take part (and only if their relationship is high enough). Everyone else who barely knows the honoree cannot join.
Party behavior is almost the same as vanilla parties, except that pawns can congratulate the honoree and leave them a gift. Only the honoree can open the gift.
Gift
There are two gift generation modes (selectable in the mod settings):
1. Use existing items from the colony’s stockpiles.
A pawn selects a suitable item from the stockpile, wraps it, and gives it to the honoree.
2. Create new gifts when giving them (essentially “out of thin air”).
After opening the gift, a random item appears. In the settings, you can manually choose any items or item categories that will appear when a gift is opened.
If, for any reason, an item cannot be generated, the gift will instead contain silver. The amount depends on the gift budget but will not exceed one stack.
The gift filter is shared between both generation modes (“from stockpile” and “out of thin air”).
The gift budget depends on the colony’s wealth and the relationship level with the honoree.
If the first mode (“from stockpile”) is selected, the budget can be disabled in the settings. In that case, gifts are chosen completely at random, without considering the budget.
Guests
If the honoree has relatives or friends in other neutral or friendly factions, they may visit on the honoree’s birthday. These neutrals arrive as regular guests and behave the same, except that they can also leave a gift for the honoree.
Guests’ gift budget depends on their faction’s tech level.
