Class: Combat
Level: 2

Class and index: EC-200 "Hephaestus"
Affiliation: Submarine Defense Forces of the Europa Coalition
Tactical Role: Deep-sea escort ship / Hunter of Abyssal fauna (Abyssal Fauna Suppressor)
The unit's motto is "Hammer of the Depths. The shield of trade routes."

Review:
The EC-200 Hephaestus is a compact, deadly and extremely autonomous warship created by the Europa Coalition for one clear purpose: to ensure the inviolability of strategic underwater trade routes in the hostile environment of the European underground Ocean. His name, given in honor of the blacksmith god, perfectly reflects the essence - it is a "hammer" forged to destroy any threats at depth.

Design features:

Armored Escort: With an operating diving depth of 4,000 meters, the Hephaestus hull combines optimal strength, maneuverability, and cost of production. It is designed for long-term patrols, sharp maneuvers in difficult terrain and an instant transition from stealth mode to attack.

Vulcan Heart: Like its larger counterparts, the EC-200 is equipped with an automatic nuclear reactor and an automatic battery system.

Targeted armament (the "Hammer and Anvil" doctrine):

"Anvil" (Hold and Loosen):

2 x Pulsed lasers: Used to "dazzle" the senses of large fauna, accurately hit vulnerable points, intercept aggressive swarming life forms and clear the path from biological or man-made obstacles.

2 x Chain Guns: The main weapon for close and medium combat. They are effective against the armored shells of large abyssal predators, for destroying dens and neutralizing multiple targets due to kinetic damage and damage area.

"Hammer" (Decisive blow):

1 x Railgun: A key element of deterrence. Designed to destroy super-large, highly protected targets.

Operational purpose:
The EC-200 is deployed for:

Constant patrolling of key trade arteries of the Coalition.

Escorting particularly valuable civilian and logistics vessels.

Proactive search and destruction of clusters of hostile fauna before they enter the routes.

Rapid response to distress signals within range.

Demonstrations of the Coalition's strength and presence in disputed deep-sea areas.

The EC-200 Hephaestus is the embodiment of the "effective defense" doctrine of the Europe Coalition. He's not the largest, but he's extremely focused, hardy, and powerful for his size.
